Library will host “Cooking Around the World” in March

 Top Chef has nothing on Woodbridge Township, or its libraries.    Four local chefs sponsored by Middlesex County Office of Cultural  and Heritage will offer a world tour of their international specialties,  complete with a sample of their cuisines in a series of programs,  Cooking Around the World, at Woodbridge Public Libraries in  March.  Culinary demonstrations will feature various ethnicities and  cultures from Woodbridge Township’s diverse community. 
 Wegmans' Executive Chef David Lopatynski, will lead the series  kick off the with an Asian-inspired menu featuring Korean and Thai  foods at the Main Library, Monday, March 13, 6:30-8:00 p.m.  Chef  Lopatynski will showcase four dishes and talk a little about the  customs and cultures that inspire their creation.
 The Iselin Branch, 188 Green Street, Iselin, will host Urban Spice  Executive Chef Rakesh Naik, who will demonstrate Indian cooking  and explain the difference between regional specialties, on Monday,  March 20, 6:30-8:00 p.m.
 The Main Library will host a unique Indian experience with Royal  Albert’s Palace owner, Albert Jasani, who will also offer a
demonstration of regional cuisines. Councilman Patel will serve as our host in the Main Library Meeting Room on Wednesday, March 22, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
On Monday, March 27th, 6:30 pm, at the Henry Inman Branch Library, 607 Inman Avenue, Colonia, the series finale will take guests to South America with WAKA-Tay, Executive Chef Yahir Botiavin and Business Partner Jairo Flores, will feature the flavors and ingredients used in Peruvian cooking.   From the coastal region of Lima, Peru, to the northern reaches of the Andes Mountains, this demonstration will inform and sate even the traveler with a taste for adventure. 
Passports are not required.
Grant funding for the Cooking Around the World series has been provided by the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders through a grant provided by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts /Department of State.
