Author Steven Knapp, a New Jersey native, brings his interest and knowledge of World War II era history to the book. Born in New Jersey, he spent much of the first decade of his life in Belgium, Germany and Brazil before his family returned to New Jersey. A graduate of Seton Hall University, he has been the owner of Steven Knapp Home Improvements LLC for over 22 years. He started writing six years ago with no experience—just a story to tell. He is already at work on the second book in the Mason Wright Series, The Secrets of Saint Joanna, which is scheduled to be published in 2020.
About The Bones of Saint Pierre
The novel, set in 1940, follows the adventures of art historian Mason Wright, who after losing his job at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, receives a surprise visit from his old flame, Collette Moulie. Despite his misgivings, he agrees to help her and her father in a risky, and probably illegal plan to save the art treasures of France from a possible Nazi invasion. Mason finds himself caught up in a world of fine art, stolen paintings, master forgeries…and the men who will stop at nothing to acquire them. Traveling to France, Mason realizes that he has suddenly become one of the most wanted men in all of Europe. Putting his life in the hands of a man he barely knows, Mason traverses the catacombs and streets of Paris, pursued by black marketeers and German spies. Mason learns early on that there is no one he can trust. Can he find his way out of France before the Blitzkrieg begins?
The Bones of Saint Pierre is published by Can’t Put it Down Books, an imprint of Open Door Publications.
