Woodbridge Main Library - Meeting Room

On Saturday, May 20, from 1:30 – 3:00 pm at the Main Library enjoy free screenings of short films, each created by New Jersey residents or natives that are up to 15 minutes in length. The viewings will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers.

Please bring a non-perishable food donation for Mcfoods Network to the screening. Some of the most needed nonperishable foods and necessities include rice, tuna fish, peanut butter, vegetables, canned meats, beans, soup and pasta, as well as personal products, baby items and paper goods.

Scheduled short films currently include:

Gato Loco Films will screen "Hormones Unite Teaser," 5 minutes. A cookie that cures the symptoms of menopause is a Godsend to all women until Congress stops production due to a "secret" ingredient. Women around the country are outraged and now it's Hormones versus Congress!

"Hormones Unite," directed by Carlos Garcia and with a screenplay by Debra Johnson, won Best Ensemble Comedy at 2015 Broad Humor Film Festival and 2nd place Comedy at 2016 Cannes Screenplay Contest.

Indyago Productions will screen "Interpretations," 10 minutes. A concert director doesn't realize her star player is right in front of her.

Indyago Productions includes on its team recent graduates from William Paterson University with bachelor degrees in Communications and concentrations in media production & media studies.

Unimoose Productions will screen "Celebrity Roommate," 9 minutes. A Philadelphia resident must grant access to her home for 30 days to professional Swiss Alps climber, Chaz Brie, in the interest of a reality show... and to pay her rent.

Unimoose Productions is a group of dedicated individuals with a passion for entertainment. The first year this team got off the ground they were able to produce one 48 hour short film every month.

ThisJes Films will screen "The Binge," 4 minutes. When it's made well, you can't watch just one episode of the greatest series on television!

ThisJes Films hit the ground running in 2016 when founder, and Middlesex County native Jes Vasquez, wrote and directed three original short films with the help of a talented and dedicated cast and crew. The team likes to focus on relatable comedies. Hobbies include whipping up recipes from the sparse kitchen, like "Kick Back and Jam," finding new uses for their abundant supply of bobby pins, and binge watching cult favorite TV shows with a bottle of wine!
