The Department of Health and Human Services has Flu vaccines available. Please call the Nursing Division for more information on how you can obtain your flu shot. The telephone number is 732-855-0600, ext. 5011. The flu shot is free for Medicare members and $15 if not a member of Medicare.
Receiving a flu shot is advised for any of the following:
Adults Over Age 50
Health Care Providers and Caretakers for High Risk Patients
Residents of Nursing Homes and Other Institutions Housing Long-Term Care Patients
Women Who Will Be in the Second or Third Trimester of Pregnancy During Flu Season
Individuals With Chronic Heart or Lung Problems, Diabetes or Any Condition That Lowers the Body's Resistance
We hope residents will take advantage of this opportunity. Lowering the number of cases of flu this winter is beneficial to the entire community's health.
