“Have-A-Heart” Food Drive Challenge Now Underway... Not Too Late to Make a Donation!!

Woodbridge Township food pantries need our help!!! That’s why we’re again issuing the “Have-A-Heart” Food Drive Challenge seeking donations of 214 pounds of food or $214 to assist our food pantries continue their work providing food and meals to residents and neighbors in need of a little help.

The “Have-A-Heart” Food Drive is coordinated by Peter Barcellona, Chairman, of the “We Feed Woodbridge” Food Bank Committee. All you need to do is give Peter a call at 732-855-0600 x5034 and tell him where and when to pick up a donation – 214 pounds of food or $214 - and our volunteers will come directly to your location… it’s that easy! Or, you can deliver 214 pounds of non-perishable food items to the Woodbridge Township Public Health Center (2 George Frederick Plaza) or the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC) anytime between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday - Friday. Financial contributions (payable to “We Feed Woodbridge”) can also be dropped-off at the Health Center or mailed directly to the Woodbridge Department of Health & Human Services, c/o We Feed Woodbridge, 2 George Frederick Plaza, Woodbridge, NJ 07095.

Dave & Buster’s Coming to Woodbridge Center

The very first Dave & Buster’s in New Jersey is set to arrive at Woodbridge Center in November, 2017!!! Construction of the 34,000 sq. ft. Dave & Buster’s restaurant, sports lounge and entertainment center will get underway this month at Woodbridge Center in the space previously occupied by the upper level Sears wing retailers. Weather Emergencies... Know Before You Go... Sign-Up for “CodeRed”

The Woodbridge Township Office of Emergency Management has implemented an “up-to-the-minute” Township-wide “CodeRed” telephone alert system. “CodeRed” is an emergency notification service that provides timely alerts to Township residents and businesses with important emergency-related information. While most Township residents with “land-line” or “home” telephone numbers are listed in the Emergency Management database and receive timely emergency information, a growing number of residents rely primarily on a cellular phone, text message or email. We want to make certain that if there is an emergency, all Township residents get information ASAP… and reaching residents on their cell phone or via text is simply the best way to provide timely and perhaps life-saving information. BUT YOU HAVE TO REGISTER TO GET “CodeRed” MESSAGES. Residents, along with anyone working in Woodbridge, are encouraged to visit the Township web page: www.twp.woodbridge.nj.us. CLICK on the CodeRed logo to enroll contact information, including land-line and cell numbers, email, and text addresses.

Recycling in Woodbridge Just Got Easier!!! Download the “MyWaste” APP!!! It’s FREE & Easy!!!

The “MyWaste” APP puts trash and recycling collection schedules, special collection information, and more right at your fingertips!!! “MyWaste” is a Recycling & Solid Waste Internet ePortal and Smartphone APP featuring the 2017 Sanitation & Recycling Calendar customized to your address. Search the ‘What Goes Here?’ database for specific recycling instructions. Plan to drop-off Household Hazardous waste at the Keasbey Recycling & Convenience Center. See when the document shredding truck is in town. Drop-off unwanted prescription drugs at the Police Department in Town Hall. Report a “Waste Problem” or send comments & suggestions through the APP. ANNUAL FREE BULK WASTE COLLECTION IS NOW MORE CONVENIENT

The annual Spring Clean-Up & Bulk Waste curbside collection program is now easier and more convenient than ever - instead of the complicated curbside pick-up schedule that ran from April through June, we’re now offering every residential household a ONE-TIME PER YEAR FREE BULK WASTE PICK-UP. The revised bulk waste collection program is more convenient for resident homeowners and allows the Department of Public Works to better manage bulk waste collection. All you need to do is call the Department of Public Works Sanitation Office at: 732-738-1311 x3600 – the staff will provide the details about the ONE-TIME PER YEAR FREE BULK WASTE PICK-UP and get you on the schedule.

Attention Senior Residents: Need Help with 2016 Tax Forms

Are you a Woodbridge Senior? Need help preparing your 2016 taxes? The Woodbridge Township Multi-Service Program on Aging and the AARP will offer "FREE" assistance to Senior residents to prepare 2016 Income Tax & Property Tax Relief forms. Tax preparation services will be available beginning the week of February 6 through April 1 (Monday and Wednesday only). APPOINTMENT REQUIRED. Call (732)726-6262 to schedule your appointment. Tax assistance will take place at the Woodbridge Health Center, 2 George Frederick Plaza, in Woodbridge. File & Feed!!! In exchange for our services, we ask that you bring a non-perishable food item to help stock the Woodbridge food pantries.
