Mayor’s Summer Concert Series Kicks-Off Monday with The Duprees
|

|
|
The Mayor’s Summer Concert Series returns to the stage on Monday (June 26) with everyone’s favorite – The Duprees. Tribute Band Tuesday performs on Tuesday (June 27) with Radio Nashville. Concerts start at 7:30 PM on the grass field behind Woodbridge High School. Woodbridge Wednesday “LIVE” concerts return to the Parker Press Park stage on Wednesday (June 28) with performances at 7:30 PM by The New Breed Brass Band. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the FREE concerts with family and friends! Local Band Thursday kicks-off the hometown concert season on Thursday (June 29) with The Saloonatics on-stage at Tanzman Park (across from the Downtown Woodbridge Train Station) at 7:30 PM. Second Friday Jazz musicians take the stage at 7:30 PM from Frank Pelzman Park in Avenel (end of West Park Avenue on Tappen Street). Country Sunday returns to the Parker Press stage every Sunday night at 6:00 PM with the biggest Country-Western bands in the area. The Woodbridge Farmers’ Market returns to Parker Press Park this coming Wednesday (June 28). This season, the WB Farmers’ Market has expanded with more “Jersey Fresh” and specialty food vendors. Take a “Walk in the Woodbridge Wild” at the Ernie Oros Wildlife Preserve in Avenel on Saturday (June 24). Explore the Preserve on a guided tour to look for reptiles and amphibians and learn about the common species that inhabit the Preserve. Walking tour leaves from the Gazebo at 10:00 AM. The Ernie Oros Wildlife Preserve is located at Omar Avenue in Avenel.

Independence Day Fireworks Blast Off July 3

FIREWORKS OVER THE WOODBRIDGE WATERFRONT!!! CELEBRATE AN EVENING DEDICTED TO AMERICA AND HER HEROS ON MON., JULY 3 AT ALVIN P. WILLIAMS MEMORIAL PARK ON THE SEWAREN WATERFRONT. The annual Woodbridge Township Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks get underway on Mon., July 3, 2017 when gates open at 4:00 PM at Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park on the Sewaren waterfront. The Independence Day festivities kick-off with live music by AM GOLD followed by the incredible "Bringing the Night to Life" fireworks display choreographed to music. Alvin P. Williams Park will be closed during the day to allow for the fireworks set-up. Lawn chairs, blankets and picnics are encouraged. There is no reserved seating and no alcoholic beverages are permitted in the park. Woodbridge is on the run... for pizza! The Mayor's Wellness Campaign, The Club at Woodbridge and Wegmans sponsor the annual Woodbridge Run for Pizza on Thurs., July 6, 2017. Sign-up today for the 4-mile run thru Alvin P. Williams Park and the Sewaren waterfront. Celebrate at the finish line with pizza provided by local restaurants. Prizes awarded to the top three overall female and male runners and top three male and female runners in each age group. Register before July 4 for only $25.00. Race Day Registration: $30.00. Corporate and Team Entries welcome! Run for Pizza is a USATF New Jersey 500 Point Event. Proceeds benefit the Mayor’s Council on Physical Fitness & Sports. See you at the finish line!
