Mayor’s Summer Concert Series Returns

The MAYOR’S SUMMNER CONCERT SERIES returns with WESTERN CENTURIES on the Country Sunday stage at Parker Press Park on Sun., July 9 at 6:00 PM. THE BEGINNINGS (Chicago Tribute) take the Monday Night stage on Mon., July 10 at 7:30 PM “under the stars” at Woodbridge High School. Tribute Band Tuesday performs with RIDERS ON THE STORM (Doors Tribute) on Tues., July 11 at WHS. AMY HELM takes the Woodbridge Wednesday stage on Wed., July 12 at Parker Press Park at 7:30 PM. Local Band Thursday “rocks” with SAAMAN on Thurs., July 13 from the Tanzman Park stage (across from the Downtown Woodbridge Train Station) at 7:30 PM. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the FREE concerts with family and friends!!! The cost of admission to the Mayor’s Summer Concert’s is a can, or two, or three of non-perishable food for the We Feed Woodbridge Food Bank. For five days this summer (July 21, 22, 23, 28 & 29) The Theatre at Woodbridge Middle School (525 Barron Ave.) will be the center of Theater Arts in central New Jersey with the performance of WEST SIDE STORY by an incredibly talented group of young Woodbridge actors, actresses and supporting staff. Young lovers are caught between prejudice and warring street gangs in this seminal retelling of Romeo and Juliet. From the first notes to the final breath, WEST SIDE STORY is one of the most memorable musicals and greatest love stories of all time. Arthur Laurents' book remains as powerful, poignant and timely as ever. The score by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim is widely regarded as one of the best ever written. The world's greatest love story takes to the streets in this landmark Broadway musical that is one of the theatre's finest accomplishments.
