The Colonia Easter Bonnet Parade & Egg Hunt - hosted by the Colonia Business Community and the Corner newspaper – steps-off on Saturday (March 31) from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Colonia Middle School. $5.00 donation per child. Adults Free. Prizes awarded for the Funniest... Most Creative...and Best Looking Easter Bonnet or Hat!!! Games. Prizes. Easter Baskets. Music. Vendors. Easter Bunny Face Painting. Sparkee the Somerset Patriot Mascot & Freddy the Talking Fire Truck. And, don’t forget to bring a can... or two... or three... of non-perishable food to help “We Feed Woodbridge” bolster Township food pantries.

April is “Youth Month”... jam-packed with youth-oriented activities beginning April 1 with the Woodbridge Police Department (WPD) accepting applications for this summer’s ever-popular Junior Police Academy and going right through the hotly-contested Gladiator Games between the Evergreen Center’s Youth and Senior members on April 30

“Big Wheels Day” is set for Wed., April 4 at Woodbridge Center Mall. Visit the Barron Arts Center and explore the extraordinary “Student Works” art exhibit (April 2 – 16). Celebrate National Library Week (April 8-14) and explore the many interactive events and programs at the Woodbridge Public Library and the Henry Inman, Fords & Iselin Branch libraries. Explore Elementary School Day at the Evergreen Youth Center (Wed., April 25). Sign-up for “Playful Painting” - an 8-week children’s painting class with easy-to-follow instruction at the Woodbridge Artisan Guild Gallery (WAG). Explore special “Youth Month” events all month long at the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC). In all, more than 60 events geared to Woodbridge Township young people will take place at the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC), Barron Arts Center, Parker Press Park and Township schools, libraries, parks and playgrounds. SPECIAL YOUTH MONTH HIGHLIGHT – SAT., APRIL 21 Plan to be at the WCC for the annual Earth/Arbor & Multi-Cultural Day Festival featuring exhibits, food, dance, music and cultural performances presented by residents and neighbors representing more than a dozen different cultures and ethnicities that live and work in Woodbridge. And, this year’s Earth/Arbor Day celebration includes “green” displays by environmental companies and local businesses and FREE give-away’s of tree seedlings, flower seeds and other “green” items (while supplies last).

The Earth/Arbor Day festival also includes information on the importance of recycling, energy-saving seminars and information and a special Earth Day program for children. At 11:30 AM, the Woodbridge Environmental Commission celebrates Arbor Day with the planting of blossoming Redspire Pear trees along Community Center Drive – an annual event that signifies the important role trees play in keeping the Township environment clean and smog-free. The “MyWaste” APP puts trash and recycling collection schedules, special collection information and more right at your fingertips!!! “MyWaste” is Woodbridge Township’s Recycling & Solid Waste APP customized to your address. Search the ‘What Goes Here?’ database for specific recycling instructions. Plan to drop-off Household Hazardous waste at the Keasbey Recycling & Convenience Center. Find out when the document shredding truck is in town!!! Drop-off unwanted prescription drugs at the Police Department in Town Hall.
