We're putting the final touches on an exciting line-up for the Mayor's Summer Concert series:  Monday Night ‘Doo Wop & Oldies!’   Tribute Band Tuesday!  Woodbridge Wednesday concerts at Parker Press Park!  Local Band Thursday at Tanzman Park.  Friday Jazz in Avenel!  Country Sunday at Parker Press Park!  Music-On-Main Street!  Plan to shop the Farmers’ Market.  Don’t forget about the Barron Arts Center’s concerts, exhibits and the annual BarronFest Art Festival.  Taste of Woodbridge arrives in October... and there is much, much more to come.

April Is Youth Month.  Bigger & Better Than Ever!!!

April is “Youth Month”...and we’re jam-packed with special youth-oriented activities concluding with the hotly-contested Gladiator Games between the Evergreen Center’s Youth and Senior members on April 30

Big Wheels

Visit the Barron Arts Center and explore the extraordinary “Student Works”... on exhibit through April 16.  Stop by the Woodbridge Public Library and explore the many interactive events and programs.  Sign-up for the Colonia 5K Classic/Chris Jantas Fun Run on Sat., April 21 (830 AM registration) – the run Starts/Finishes at St. John Vianney.  Explore Elementary School Day at the Evergreen Youth Center (Wed., April 25).  The annual Mayor’s Youth Volunteer Awards are announced on Sun., April 29 – 11:00 AM at the WCC.  Sign-up for “Playful Painting” - an 8-week children’s painting class with easy-to-follow instruction at the Woodbridge Artisan Guild Gallery (WAG).  Explore special “Youth Month” events all month long at the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC).  In all, more than 60 events geared to Woodbridge Township young people take place at the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC), Barron Arts Center, Parker Press Park and Township schools, libraries, parks and playgrounds.

Earth Day

SPECIAL YOUTH MONTH HIGHLIGHT – SAT., APRIL 21 

Plan to be at the WCC for the annual Earth/Arbor & Multi-Cultural Day Festival featuring exhibits, food, dance, music and cultural performances presented by residents and neighbors representing more than a dozen different cultures and ethnicities that live and work in Woodbridge.  And, this year’s Earth/Arbor Day celebration includes “green” displays by environmental companies and local businesses and FREE give-away’s of tree seedlings, flower seeds and other “green” items (while supplies last).

The Earth/Arbor Day festival also includes information on the importance of recycling, energy-saving seminars and information and a special Earth Day program for children.  At 11:30 AM, the Woodbridge Environmental Commission celebrates Arbor Day with the planting of blossoming Redspire Pear trees along Community Center Drive – an annual event that signifies the important role trees play in keeping the Township environment clean and smog-free. The popular Music on Main Street concert series returns with Carl Palmer:  ELP Legacy... LIVE on-stage on Sat., April 21 at 7:30 PM at The Theatre @ Woodbridge Middle School. Music on Main Street - presented by Mayor John E.
