We're putting the final touches on an exciting line-up for the Mayor's Summer Concert series:  Monday Night ‘Doo Wop & Oldies!’   Tribute Band Tuesday!  Woodbridge Wednesday concerts at Parker Press Park!  Local Band Thursday at Tanzman Park.  Friday Jazz in Avenel!  Country Sunday at Parker Press Park!  Music-On-Main Street!  Plan to shop the Farmers’ Market.  The Independence Day Fireworks extravaganza “blasts-off” on July 3 from Alvin Williams Park in Sewaren!!!  Don’t forget about the Barron Arts Center’s concerts, exhibits and the annual BarronFest Art Festival.  Taste of Woodbridge arrives in October... and there is much, much more to come.

The popular Music on Main Street concert series returns Saturday with CARL PALMER:  ELP LEGACY... LIVE on-stage at 7:30 PM at The Theatre @ Woodbridge Middle School (525 Barron Avenue). Music on Main Street - presented by Mayor John E. Multi-Cultural Day Festival & New Citizen “Oath-of-Allegiance”
Woodbridge Township is proud to host the annual Multi-Cultural Day Festival at the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC) on Saturday (April 21.)  The festival features multi-cultural exhibits, food, dance, music and cultural performances presented by residents and neighbors representing more than a dozen different cultures and ethnicities that live and work in Woodbridge.  As part of Multi-Cultural Day, Woodbridge will welcome 25 new U.S. citizens from around the globe as they take the “Oath-of-Allegiance” to the United States at a special ceremony administered by the United States Citizenship & Immigration Services.  Citizenship ceremony is set for 10:00 AM in the WCC Auditorium.

Earth & Arbor Day Celebration                                        Plan to attend Woodbridge Township’s Earth & Arbor Day celebration and tree planting ceremony on Saturday (April 21) outside the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC).  This year’s Earth & Arbor Day celebration gets underway at 10:00 AM and includes “green” displays by environmental companies and local businesses, FREE give-away’s of tree seedlings, flower seeds and other “green” items  (while supplies last).  The Earth & Arbor Day festival also includes information on the importance of recycling, energy-saving seminars and information, and a special Earth Day program for children.  At 11:00 AM, the Woodbridge Environmental Commission celebrates Arbor Day with the planting of blossoming Redspire Pear trees along WCC Drive – an annual event that signifies the important role trees play in keeping the Township environment clean and smog-free.


Woodbridge Youth Volunteers To Be Recognized for Community Service

Plan to meet the Woodbridge Township leaders of tomorrow when Mayor John E. McCormac and the Municipal Council present the Annual Mayor’s Youth Volunteer Awards on Sun., April 29 at the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC).  This year, 50 Woodbridge Township young adults will receive the 2018 Mayor’s Youth Volunteer Award for distinguished community service - volunteer service includes church and community, peer tutors, athletic coaches, hospital aides, clothing and food drive coordinators, first aid and fire squad members, serving and assisting area homeless, and many more initiatives.
