The Avenel Performing Arts Center Presents: Dixie’s Tupperware Party

The Avenel Performing Arts Center (APAC) opens on April 10 with the first area presentation of Dixie’s Tupperware Party - the hilarious off-Broadway show featuring Dixie Longate, the fast-talking, gum chewing, ginger-haired Alabama gal who is bringing your grandma’s Tupperware party out of the living room and into the 21st century. Audiences howl with laughter from her outrageously funny tales, homespun wisdom, audience participation and uses for Tupperware that you never thought possible. For anyone who has ever felt like they don’t matter, Dixie’s Tupperware Party is a southern tale of empowerment that leaves your heart a little bigger and your food a little fresher. Adult Content.

April Is Youth Month. Bigger & Better Than Ever!!!

April is Youth Month... that special month when we celebrate our youth!!! Youth-oriented activities get underway on April 1 with the Woodbridge Police Department (WPD) accepting applications for this summer’s ever-popular Junior Police Academy and going right through the Mini Carnival at the Evergreen Youth Center on April 30.

Big Wheels Day is set for Wed., April 24 at Woodbridge Center Mall. Visit the Barron Arts Center (BAC) and explore the extraordinary Student Works art exhibit (April 4 - 16). Celebrate National Library Month and explore the many interactive events and programs at the Woodbridge Public Library (WPL) and the Henry Inman, Fords & Iselin Branch libraries. Sign-up to volunteer at the Woodbridge Animal Shelter & Pet Adoption Center. Explore the many fun and exciting Youth Month events all month long at the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC) and The Club at Woodbridge. In all, more than 60 events, programs and happenings geared to Woodbridge Township young people will take place at the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC), Barron Arts Center, Parker Press Park and Township schools, libraries, parks and playgrounds.

Plan to be at the WCC for the annual Earth/Arbor & Multi-Cultural Day Festival featuring exhibits, food, dance, music and cultural performances presented by residents and neighbors representing more than a dozen different cultures and ethnicities that live and work in Woodbridge. And, this year’s Earth/Arbor Day celebration includes ‘GREEN’ displays by environmental companies and local businesses and FREE give-away’s of tree seedlings, flower seeds and other “green” items (while supplies last). The Earth/Arbor Day festival also includes information on the importance of recycling, energy-saving seminars and information and a special Earth Day program for children. At 11:30 AM, the Woodbridge Environmental Commission celebrates Arbor Day with the planting of blossoming Redspire Pear trees along Community Center Drive – an annual event that signifies the important role trees play in keeping the Township environment clean and smog-free. The Woodbridge Health Department & Human Services will host the annual Mayor’s Public Health Day on Sat., April 6 from 9:00 AM to Noon. Free Health & Wellness Screenings & Give-Away's ... Healthy Cooking Demonstrations… Face Painting and Fun Events and Programs for the entire family. Please bring a non-perishable healthy food item for the We Feed Food Bank. Are you a Woodbridge Senior? Need help preparing your 2018 taxes? The Woodbridge Township Multi-Service Program on Aging and the AARP offers ‘FREE’ assistance to Senior residents to prepare 2018 Income Tax & Property Tax Relief forms. It’s All Happening at The Club

The Club at Woodbridge is now part of the Woodbridge Township Recreation Family – and we’re offering an incredible menu of health, wellness, fitness and entertainment programs, events and happenings to members and guests!!!

The Club is the perfect complement to the Woodbridge Community Center (WCC) right across Main Street. Both facilities have a pool, running track, cardio rooms, weight rooms, concession areas and child care functions. Both run summer camps for kids and personal training and other amenities. The WB E-News encourages residents, parents, students and visitors to support the various school-related activities - without community sponsorship, many of the student programs, events and activities would not be able to take place.
