Mayor John E. McCormac congratulates Woodbridge High School(WHS) Interact Club.
The WHS Interact Club presented “We Feed Woodbridge”with 34 Thanksgiving “Turkey & Food Baskets” for distribution to Woodbridge families unable to provide for a Thanksgiving dinner. Since the beginning of October, the WHS Interact Club has been collecting non-perishable food items to accompany the frozen turkey baskets. The WHS Interact Club reached out to many WHS departments, clubs, sports teams and individual teachers and students to assist in the food collections and to put together the fully stocked food baskets. In total, the WHS Interact Club put together 34 Thanksgiving baskets, some of which went to WHS students' families who are in need – the remainder of the baskets were presented to “We Feed Woodbridge” which stocks the 11 Woodbridge Township food pantries. The WHS Interact Club is not ending their holiday spirit with food collections – Interact Club students are already underway collecting toys for ill/hospitalized children for the David's Touch Foundation, in addition to collecting various pet food, supplies and toys for the Woodbridge Animal Shelter.
