A patron is allowed only two incidents of claiming missing materials have been returned (i.e., claims returned). If a patron claims he or she returned two items in a single instance, this instance is considered one claims returned incident.
Fines are assessed at the regular fine rates for items that are returned after having been claimed returned earlier.
Claims of items having been returned are accepted at the discretion of the agency heads.
